AI Automation Engineer

The AI Native Way of Working (WoW) Team aims to redefine how we operate by identifying tasks that can be replaced or augmented by AI to achieve significant productivity gains. As an AI Automation Engineer, you will act as an internal consultant, bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI tooling and daily business operations across our various Business Units.

YOUR IMPACT

• Process Analysis & Mapping: Conduct deep-dives into existing processes across business units to identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities.

• AI-Native Workflow Design: Architect the "To-Be" state, making strategic decisions on whether to leverage existing AI tooling or build custom solutions.

• System Engineering: Engineer agentic systems and complex workflows using advanced prompt engineering techniques.

• Solution Delivery: Build innovative, end-to-end AI systems that solve internal business challenges, encompassing data engineering, software development, and sophisticated AI components.

• Adoption & Change Management: Act as the bridge for adoption, ensuring new AI-native processes are not just implemented but fully exploited by teams to create long-lasting operational impact.

WHY YOU

• Foundation: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years professional engineering experience.

• Technical Skills: Proficient experience with Python, GCP (or another cloud), solid understanding of software engineering principles, machine learning fundamentals, and version control (Git).

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (extra plus when speaking a local language like Dutch and German). You can confidently explain complex technical ideas and translate technical AI capabilities into functional business value for various stakeholders.

• Operational Drive: You have a passion for operational excellence and enjoy working across different departments (Sales, Engineering, Finance) to solve complex workflow puzzles.

• AI Fluency: You stay at the forefront of AI tooling and understand how to connect these tools effectively to automate end-to-end workflows. Experience with workflow automation tools like Zapier, n8n, or other AI tooling is an extra plus.
