Clinical Data Scientist/Statistician

Voor onze Biometrics and Real World Data (RWD) team zijn we op zoek naar een Clinical Data Scientist/Statistician met een sterke interesse in non‑randomized study designs. In deze rol werk je aan studies buiten traditionele randomized controlled trials, zoals observationele studies, quasi-experimentele designs (bijv. pragmatische studies) en single arm studies. Je analyseert data uit real world settings, waaronder digital health tools, registries en emerging evidence platforms, waarbij methodologische strengheid in balans moet zijn met operationele haalbaarheid.

Je draagt bij aan study design, statistische planning en analyse, het identificeren van bronnen van bias en confounding, en het toepassen van passende analytische benaderingen die fit-for-purpose conclusies ondersteunen. Je werkt nauw samen met clinical, data science en regulatory teams om te zorgen dat statistische deliverables robuust, transparant en afgestemd zijn op zowel wetenschappelijke als businessdoelstellingen. Je kunt ook bijdragen aan de evaluatie en validatie van digital health tools, inclusief predictive en AI based algoritmes, in real world of klinische study settings.

Je brengt ervaring mee met real world data workflows zoals data quality assessment, documentatie en exploratory analysis. Bekendheid met frameworks zoals de target trial approach, validatie van predictive algoritmes, high dimensional data of federated learning is een pré.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Providing statistical input into protocols and statistical analysis plans for non‑randomized studies.
• Developing and maintaining statistical documents according to internal standards.
• Working with cross functional teams to integrate statistical considerations throughout the study lifecycle.

Key deliverables:

• Protocols, statistical analysis plans and study reports for non‑randomized studies.
• Well documented and version controlled statistical outputs aligned with internal guidelines.
• Contributions to training materials and support for statistical tools and processes.

This role contributes to two of Danone’s strategic domains:
Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG): This includes essential dairy and plant based products, and early life nutrition solutions informed by decades of breastmilk research.
Specialized Medical Nutrition: This includes tailored nutritional solutions for health conditions across all life stages, such as prematurity, allergy management, faltering growth, oncology support, frailty and enteral feeding in hospital and home care environments.

About you

You bring a strong scientific mindset and enjoy working at the intersection of statistics, clinical evidence and real world data. You combine analytical depth with clear communication and collaboration.

You bring:

• An MSc or PhD in biostatistics, statistics or a related field.
• Experience in real world data or observational research in a clinical or health data setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues from different disciplines.
• A proactive and detail oriented approach with a commitment to scientific integrity and high quality documentation.
