Collectmaxx is a Dutch company on a mission: help businesses get paid faster, at lower cost. We're a small, driven team building a fully automated, white-label dunning platform that combines 25+ years of collections expertise with modern AI technology.

In 2026, we're upgrading our proven enterprise platform into a PaaS setup, enabling us to serve enterprise clients with custom implementations and SMBs through a self-serve model — all on the same infrastructure. It's an exciting time to join.

The Role

We're looking for a backend-leaning Full Stack Developer to help build and evolve our communication platform. We enable our clients to reach their customers through Voice, SMS, and email — and we're continuously expanding to new channels and adding more flexibility in follow-up actions.

You'll work with a modern stack centered around PHP (Symfony), JavaScript, and MySQL, using GitHub/Bitbucket for version control. Experience with AWS (S3/SQS/EC2) and GraphQL is a strong plus, and familiarity with MongoDB is a bonus.

There's no shortage of challenges here — and plenty of room to make a real impact.

What You'll Do

As a Full Stack Developer at Collectmaxx, you:

• Work on integrating new solutions — built or bought — into the Collectmaxx platform
• Operate in a cross-functional scrum team where you're responsible for writing clean code with strong business awareness
• Onboard and integrate customers onto the Collectmaxx platform and its services
• Design generic, reusable solutions that can accommodate multiple customers
• Continuously think about how our solutions can be improved and expanded
• Are customer-centric, but also critical when evaluating customer needs
• Proactively pick up new opportunities to improve what we offer

📍 You'll be based at our office in Rotterdam (max. 60 minutes travel time from home).

Job requirements

About You

You're a hands-on developer who combines technical skill with real business sense. A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is great, but what matters most is what you can do.

• 4–6 years of experience in a similar full stack role
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong plus
• You thrive in agile environments and value structured, well-versioned work
• Solid experience across both backend and frontend development
• You align with our core values — and that's non-negotiable

Must-haves: PHP, Symfony, GitHub/Bitbucket, JavaScript, MySQL, Docker

Nice-to-haves: AWS (S3, SQS, EC2), GraphQL, MongoDB, event-driven UI (Symfony UX or similar), RabbitMQ

📍 You live in the Netherlands and have a valid work permit. We work hybrid, but value face-to-face collaboration — so we ask you to be in the office at least 60% of the time.
