Engineer II/III - Software C++

Surround Navigation is a cross-functional product team focused on redefining how drivers perceive and interact with their environment. We combine data from vehicle sensors such as cameras and LiDARs with high-precision maps and navigation intelligence to create a unified, real-time view of the car’s surroundings. By merging these data sources into one coherent experience, we help drivers understand complex situations faster and with greater confidence. Our work directly enhances comfort, safety, and trust in advanced driver-assistance systems.

What you'll do

  • Build customer-facing APIs and client SDK components using C++ and Kotlin;
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, dashboards, and other internal tools;
  • Participate in reviews of requirements, technical design, and code;
  • Fix bugs, maintain and improve our product;
  • Drive-test our product (optional, but encouraged).

What you'll need

  • Minimum 2 or more years of work experience as a Software Engineer;
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis;
  • Working knowledge of C++ and at least one other modern programming language;
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn technologies, programming languages, and tools;
  • Show proactive ownership, be accountable, and embrace other traits of TomTom Leadership Foundation;
  • You should be comfortable working as a part of a geographically distributed team that prefers writing over virtual meetings;
  • Good communication skills, ability to write and speak English clearly and concisely.

It’s all about getting the best out of both worlds – we ask TomTom’ers to come to the office two days a week, and the remaining three are free to be worked in either location.

Improve your home office with a setup budget and get extra support with a monthly allowance.
