Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept

At The Social Hub Amsterdam City, we’re looking for an experienced and inspiring Director of F&B to lead one of our most vibrant and complex F&B operations in Europe.

In this role, you are responsible for the full food and beverage experience across multiple outlets, including restaurant, bar, café, breakfast and meetings & events spaces. Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, with a dotted line to the Director F&B Implementation, you will lead the strategy, performance, and day-to-day success of all F&B outlets.

Your mission? Build a destination loved by both locals and guests. You’ll elevate service standards, drive innovation, and create memorable food and beverage experiences while developing a high-performing and diverse team culture. What makes this opportunity even more exciting is that you will be fully involved in the transformation journey within F&B starting in Spring 2026. You will play a key role in shaping and driving this change from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape one of our flagship hospitality hubs and position our Amsterdam City hotel as a must-visit destination in the city.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop the F&B management team across all outlets and event operations
  • Oversee daily operations across all F&B outlets and event spaces, ensuring seamless guest and team experiences.
  • Drive innovation in menu development together with the Head Chef, focusing on creativity, local sourcing, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Develop and execute F&B strategies that enhance guest experiences while delivering strong commercial performance.
  • Play a key role in shaping and leading the F&B transformation, ensuring smooth implementation of new concepts, structures, and ways of working.
  • Act as a change ambassador for the department, engaging and empowering teams throughout the transformation process.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to bring creative campaigns and activations to life.
  • Embed sustainability and eco-friendly practices in line with our future B Corp ambitions.
  • Use technology and data analytics to optimize operations and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Maintain exceptional service standards and proactively manage guest feedback.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and licensing standards across all outlets.
  • Build strong partnerships with local suppliers and communities to strengthen our destination positioning.

Who You Are

  • A natural leader with a proven track record managing large restaurant, kitchen, and bar teams.
  • Experienced in a senior F&B leadership role within a large single operation or multi-site business generating €4M+ annual revenue.
  • Comfortable managing change and improving operational processes.
  • Financially strong, with experience managing budgets, forecasts, P&Ls, labor, and cost controls.
  • Digitally savvy and experienced in using tools and data to improve performance.
  • Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • A collaborative leader who builds inclusive, diverse, and high-performing teams.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Hands-on, visible on the floor, and energized by fast-paced environments.
