We are looking for an engineer that can start as soon as possible. This is a 6-month assignment.
AWS Engineer – Migrations (Freelance, start asap)
As an AWS Engineer you will contribute to the team that provides the AWS Landing zone and ready-to-use AWS services which will help our Application Developers achieve quicker time to market of business functionality that runs on secure and compliant AWS platform services.
What you are going to do
- Assist with the creation of Terraform Modules based on existing CDK Constructs
- Assist with the creation of compliance mechanisms (i.e. Checkov custom checks) to validate Terraform based on tailored security guidelines
- Assist with the automation and maintenance of Terraform test deployments against AWS using CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
- Maintenance of Terraform Artifact deployments

Who you are
We are looking for a professional with:
- Terraform Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform, including module design, state management, and remote backends
- AWS Knowledge: Deep understanding of AWS services, IAM policies, networking, and security configurations
- Security Focus: Experience implementing hardened configurations and security controls in cloud infrastructure
- Programming experience: Medior to senior Python experience; Typescript knowledge is a plus
- DevOps Tooling: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD on Azure DevOps, and infrastructure automation
- IaC Testing: Experience with infrastructure testing tools (e.g., Terratest, Checkov)
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to work across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
