Lead Turquoise Europe (Turquoise Global Holdings Europe, TGHE) to deliver sustainable growth, outstanding client outcomes, and uncompromising operational resilience and regulatory compliance across our pan‑European trading venue. The Director will work in close partnership with Equities Trading Leadership and the management of Turquoise (Turquoise Global Holdings Limited, TGHL) to define priorities and execute agreed plans, whilst acting as TGHE’s primary representative to regulators, clients, partners and an executive on the TGHE Board, and ensure TGHE operates to the highest standards of integrity and governance within LSEG.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Business Performance

  • Execute TGHE’s multi‑year strategy across markets, products and technology, aligned to LSEG Markets priorities and Turquoise’s commercial objectives.
  • Contribute to the setting and delivery revenue, volume and cost targets; drive disciplined capital allocation and operating expenses.
  • Expand liquidity and client participation through partnership with Equities Trading colleagues on product innovation, market quality initiatives and strategic partnerships.

  • Serve as Executive Director, on TGHE's board of directors, entrusted with management of the company alongside other Executive Director(s).
  • Prepare high‑quality, timely Board materials and ensure effective governance across TGHE committees.
  • Oversee risk management (market, operational, technology, conduct) and business continuity, maintaining strong second‑ and third‑line challenge.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable EU/Dutch frameworks and internal policies; maintain a robust compliance monitoring plan and internal controls, escalating issues promptly to Equities Trading Leadership and the Board.
  • Serve as TGHE’s primary point of engagement with the Dutch regulators, ensuring proactive engagement and timely notifications/approvals related to directors/senior management changes and material business developments.

3) Clients, Market Structure & External Affairs

  • Act as principal ambassador with clients, trading participants, venues, partners, policymakers and industry bodies in the EU for Turquoise; representing TGHE and the wider LSEG brand in the market with credibility and trust.
  • Anticipate market‑structure shifts (e.g., liquidity, market data, best execution, transparency) and shape TGHE’s proactive response.

Experience and skills required:

  • Track record of constructive regulator engagement and of building strong risk, control and compliance environments; familiarity with AFM expectations and notification/approval processes is advantageous.
  • Executive‑level stakeholder management and Board reporting experience.
  • Experience in setting and delivery of revenue, volume and cost targets; driving disciplined capital allocation and operating expenses.
  • Embedding a clear operating model with crisp accountabilities across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk/Compliance and Finance.
  • Deep understanding of European market‑structure, trading products, and venue operations (equities preferred).
