Treasury and Merchant Finance Intern

Your impact

As our Treasury & Merchant Finance Intern, you'll be a key part of our Financial Services Domain. Instead of just observing, you’ll actively help us manage merchant finance processes and treasury operations. This means contributing to excellent cash management, accurate reporting, and smooth banking interactions. If you’re eager to learn, proactive, and curious about how money moves globally, this role is for you.

We move fast, so we need someone who is eager to own their tasks, ask the right questions, and see the immediate impact of their work on our European expansion.

What you'll ship

• Merchant Finance Operations: Help monitor and clear daily transactions within our Mollie Banking System. You'll ensure timely processing of merchant payments and assist with bank statements and acquirer settlement reconciliations.

• Treasury & Cash Management: You’ll carry out daily cash management tasks, specifically for Mollie’s safeguarded bank accounts. You’ll also support reconciliation and control activities within our safeguarding framework, and help the Treasury team manage bank relationships and online banking systems.

• Growth & Projects: Provide operational support for company-wide growth initiatives, including developing new payment methods and products.

What you'll bring

• Education: You’re currently studying (or you recently graduated from) a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

• Experience: This is an entry-level internship, so professional experience isn't required. A strong interest in operational finance is what truly matters.

• Skills: A natural curiosity for data and an analytical approach to solving problems.

• Mindset: A proactive, "can-do" attitude and a strong sense of ownership over your tasks.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Energy: You’re enthusiastic about learning and contribute positively to a team environment.

• Availability to join our Amsterdam headquarters for a period of 5–6 months.
