Financial Control Internship

Internship opportunity in Financial Control (European Finance department)

Your mission:

Epson has an exciting opportunity for an intern within our European Finance department. The intern will be part of the financial control team (+7 analysts) and reports directly to the manager business control & support.

The goal of the internship is to give the Intern the opportunity to experience all the different tasks of a junior financial analyst in a dynamic international business environment. During the internship it is possible to do a case study for a final dissertation if required.

The internship is a 3rd party agreement between student, Epson, & university and is a fulltime opportunity 38.75 hours per week.

The Intern will be coached and mentored by the line manager. They will receive daily attention and training on financial basics, as well as career and personal development advice. The intern will be regularly reviewed in line with Epson’s general appraisal process.

As flexibility is key to a modern lifestyle this role also comes with three days WFH (after initial training and onboarding)

Please note that you must be enrolled at a Dutch university to be eligible for this traineeship.

Role starting date: March 2026

What you will do:

• Monthly financial reporting
• Planning & reporting: management reporting & target setting
• Owner of forecasting process: data collection and analysis
• Involve in cost control
• Ad hoc analysis
• Special projects / Project Support
• Help documenting day to day business performance processes, and finalizing reporting tools
• Contribute to dashboard, forecast, and Key Performance Indicators data computation

What we ask for:

Studying for master’s degree in business or finance. Minimum of 3 years completed. Student looking for a 6 to 9 months internship during last year of study or gap year with.

• Strong financial knowledge
• Strong affinity with finance and information systems
• Preferably exposure to international business environment
• Ability to make the link between finance and business
• Good knowledge of Excel, including experience in using excel as a tool for financial analysis and reporting
• Preferably experience and knowledge of ERP (e.g., SAP)
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
