Als stagiair werk je mee aan het duiden van technologische ontwikkelingen binnen het Europese bankentoezicht. Dat toezicht wordt uitgevoerd binnen het Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM): het gezamenlijke toezichtstelsel van de ECB en nationale toezichthouders. Jij ondersteunt het internationale team dat de SSM Trend Radar ontwikkelt en toepast—een instrument dat technologische trends signaleert, duidt en vertaalt naar kansen en risico’s voor toezicht en de financiële sector. Je helpt bij analyses, communicatie en samenwerking met Europese collega’s, zodat inzichten daadwerkelijk landen in het toezicht van morgen.

What you will do as an Intern in European Technological Supervision at DNB

As an intern, you will help identify and interpret technological developments within European banking supervision. That supervision is organized within the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), the joint supervisory framework of the ECB and national supervisors. You support the international team that develops and applies the SSM Trend Radar—an instrument that identifies and analyses technological trends and translates them into opportunities and risks for supervision and the financial sector. You will contribute to analyses, communication, and collaboration with European colleagues, helping ensure that insights truly land in the supervision of the future.

• Je ondersteunt bij de uitrol, adoptie en toepassing van de SSM Trend Radar binnen DNB en bij andere nationale banken binnen het SSM.
• Je helpt om analyses om te zetten in duidelijke updates, presentaties, visuals en nieuwsberichten voor zowel DNB als Europese collega’s.
• Je werkt mee aan de organisatie en voorbereiding van Europese tech expert missions, met technologie experts uit heel Europa.
• Je draagt bij aan de projectmatige werkwijze van het team, zoals planning, structuur en voortgangsbewaking.

Your responsibilities

• Support the rollout, adoption, and application of the SSM Trend Radar within DNB and other national banks in the SSM.
• Help transform analyses into clear updates, presentations, visuals, and news items for both DNB and European colleagues.
• Contribute to the organization and preparation of European tech expert missions, involving technology experts from across Europe.
• Support the team’s project‑based way of working, including planning, structuring, and progress tracking.

Hier doe je dat

Je werkt als stagiair op ons kantoor in Amsterdam bij de divisie Toezicht Horizontale Functies & Integriteit, afdeling Digitale Agenda Toezicht. Deze afdeling helpt zowel het DNB als het Europese toezicht digitaal (samen)werken en vooruitkijken door digitale tools te ontwikkelen en technologische trends te duiden. Je sluit aan bij het SupTech Center, een klein, jong en internationaal team van ongeveer vijf collega’s uit DNB, andere Europese toezichthouders en de ECB. De sfeer is open, gedreven en samenwerkingsgericht: je werkt nauw samen, leert snel en krijgt de ruimte om zichtbaar bij te dragen aan Europese toezichtvernieuwing.

This is where you will be working

You will be based at our Amsterdam office in the Supervision Horizontal Functions & Integrity division, within the Digital Agenda Supervision department. This department supports both DNB and European supervision in working and looking ahead digitally by developing digital tools and analysing technological trends. You will join the SupTech Center, a small, young, and international team of around five colleagues from DNB, other European supervisors, and the ECB. The atmosphere is open, driven, and collaborative: you will work closely together, learn quickly, and have the space to visibly contribute to innovation in European supervision.

Samenwerken gaat je makkelijk af, en je vindt het leuk om in een internationaal team mee te bouwen aan vernieuwing.

Waar zijn we verder nog naar op zoek?

• Je volgt een wo-opleiding in een relevante richting, zoals (technische) bestuurskunde, innovatie of informatiemanagement of (strategisch) productontwerp.
• Je bent beschikbaar voor een meewerkstage van minimaal 4 maanden vanaf april of mei.
• Je kunt 32–36 uur per week meedraaien in het team.
• Je hebt interesse in en affiniteit met digitalisering en Europese samenwerking binnen het toezicht.
• Je beheerst Nederlands en Engels goed, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.

We are also looking for:

• You are pursuing a university‑level degree in a relevant field, such as (technical) public administration, innovation or information management, or (strategic) product design.
• You are available for an internship of at least four months starting in April or May.
• You can work 32–36 hours per week.
• You have interest in and affinity with digitalization and European cooperation in supervision.
• You have good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

• Een 36-urige werkweek met variabele werktijden, je kunt bijvoorbeeld 4 dagen van 9 uur werken.
• Toegang tot interne cursussen, workshops en sportfaciliteiten.
• Een laptop en flexwerkplek.
• Je kunt je aansluiten bij JongDNB, de vereniging voor en door jonge medewerkers van DNB. JongDNB verzorgt inhoudelijke en sociale activiteiten, denk aan studiereizen, lunchseminars en maandelijkse borrels. Een geweldige manier om een netwerk op te bouwen binnen DNB waar je ook later in je professionele carrière nog veel plezier van zult hebben!
