Are you driven by turning complex data into clear insights that empower real business impact? As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you play a key role in strengthening our data foundation and enabling teams across BtC NL to make better, faster decisions. Working at the heart of our Data & Analytics organisation, you collaborate with Analytics Translators, Data Scientists and IT engineers to build high‑quality datasets, dashboards and analytics products. If you enjoy combining strong technical skills with stakeholder collaboration — and you’re ready to help elevate our data capabilities — then this role is an exciting next step.

In this role, you translate stakeholder needs into high‑quality datasets and analytics products. You take a central role in improving data architecture and ensuring high standards of data quality through your involvement in the Data Foundation Authority. You are part of a domain team consisting of Analytics Translators, Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists, supported by Data & ML Engineers from IT. You guide junior colleagues and work closely with business stakeholders to ensure our data solutions are adopted and used in daily decision‑making.

Your responsibilities

  • Model data in Snowflake and develop scalable data pipelines to improve time‑to‑market.
  • Build curated datasets, dashboards and analytical assets — including clear documentation and guidance for end‑users.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture, platform patterns and quality standards (Snowflake/Azure).
  • Support and mentor junior team members in best practices and development.
  • Work with stakeholders across marketing, service and propositions to ensure data products drive value.

Who are you?

You are a solution‑oriented team player who communicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical colleagues. You feel at home in an environment where collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement are key.

You bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in (Analytics) Engineering.
  • WO degree with a technical or data focus.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with Snowflake and cloud platforms (Azure).
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, git and code reviews.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • An interest in the energy transition and in Vattenfall’s purpose is considered important.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into insights that stakeholders can act on.
