Product Manager - Crew

Rentman is a B2B SaaS scaleup building a smart, powerful operations management platform to support event and media production teams. Mission of this role

As Product Manager – Crew at Rentman, you will own the product direction and day-to-day development of our crew planning domain: scheduling, availability, assignments, and communication for the people who make events happen. You will drive innovative, customer-focused product solutions with cross-functional teams to help event professionals worldwide work smarter.

Rentman is used by a wide range of customers, from small production teams to large, complex organisations with demanding operational workflows. In the coming years, we are further maturing our Crew product as an enterprise-grade planning platform, while keeping it intuitive and valuable for the wide range of customers who rely on it today.

Your mission is to deeply understand how crews are planned and managed in complex real-world productions, identify the most important gaps in our current solution, and lead the product work that closes those gaps. You will translate messy, operational workflows into clear product problems, prioritise what matters most, and work closely with Design and Engineering to deliver improvements that strengthen both advanced and core crew workflows.

A key part of this role is preparing our Crew product for tighter integration with an external freelancer marketplace, so that planners can eventually source and manage external crew directly from within Rentman.

What you'll do

In close collaboration with the Group Product Manager and Engineering leadership, you will shape and drive the day-to-day product direction of Rentman Crew.

• Drive priorities and sprint-ready scope for the Crew team, aligned with the broader crew ecosystem roadmap
• Lead discovery with customers to understand crew planning workflows, gaps, and opportunities
• Translate user problems and strategic goals into clear, actionable work for design and engineering
• Work closely with Tech Leads and Dev Leads on feasibility, sequencing, and delivery trade-offs
• Partner with designers to shape solutions that fit real-world workflows
• Facilitate refinement, sprint planning, and reviews with the development team
• Align product decisions with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Support, Sales, and Customer Success
• Communicate plans, progress, and trade-offs clearly, and help maintain focus and predictability through strong prioritization

Essential attributes to be a successful Product Manager Crew

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a B2B SaaS environment

• Proven experience owning a product area end-to-end: from discovery and prioritization to delivery and validation
• Comfortable working with complex operational workflows (planning, scheduling, resource management, or similar domains)
• Strong in translating user and business problems into clear priorities and actionable scope for engineering teams
• Able to balance enterprise needs with scalability and usability for a broad customer base
• Structured, pragmatic, and comfortable making decisions in situations with incomplete information
• Clear communicator who works well with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset that fits a scale-up environment

Nice to haves

• Experience with workforce planning, scheduling, or other operational SaaS products
• Experience working with enterprise customers and complex stakeholder environments
• Experience with marketplaces, APIs, or platform-oriented products
• Affinity with or experience in the event or media production industry
• Dutch language skills (a plus, but English is the working language)
