Frontend Developer

What are you going to do?

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you’ll take the lead in designing, developing, and delivering advanced web applications for our clients. You’ll be a key player in setting technical direction, guiding fellow developers, and ensuring project success from both a technical and stakeholder perspective. You’ll work with modern tools like TypeScript, React, and Svelte within a team that values growth, quality, and knowledge-sharing.

You will:

• Take ownership of complex frontend projects and steer them from start to finish.
• Make informed architectural decisions and ensure they align with our established standards.
• Lead implementation using React (Contexts & Hooks), Svelte, and TypeScript.
• Be the go-to person for stakeholders, clients, and dependent teams.
• Mentor and support medior and junior developers, helping them grow.
• Provide structure and guidance to your team during challenging phases.
• Contribute to and help shape internal standards within the Web team.
• Support pre-sales processes for new or ongoing clients by estimating and scoping projects.
• Justify technical decisions and approaches directly to clients.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold quality standards across the team.

The team

Within our web team, continuous learning and knowledge-sharing are central. We run weekly Web Weekly sessions to explore frameworks, new ideas, and challenges from real projects. Our TED-style team talks go beyond code – they’re a platform for inspiration, whether that’s a new tool, personal insight, or a success story (tech-related or not).

We also collaborate closely with the Smart TV team (Svelte & TypeScript) and the React Native team, sharing best practices and technical developments. Code reviews are a must — no matter your level — and even senior developers are challenged to explain, teach, and reflect. As a senior, you’re expected to support and guide the team, not just in code but also in structure and decision-making.

What do you bring with you?

• HBO-level thinking and working (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with a senior-level mindset.
• Solid experience with TypeScript, React (Hooks, Context), and/or Svelte.
• Proven ability to architect frontend solutions and drive technical strategy.
• Experience mentoring developers and fostering team growth.
• Comfortable in a client-facing role, including pre-sales and scoping.
• Experience with unit testing (e.g., React Testing Library, Jest).
• Experience with streaming video and DRM is a plus.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a bonus).
