Data Center Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced and independent Data Center Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam and support Adyen’s growing datacenter footprint around the globe.

In this role, you'll drive the end-to-end asset and lifecycle management of data center assets, maintain precise DCIM documentation to provide a "single source of truth" for our global teams. You’ll work closely with global teams mainly based in Amsterdam and local third-party vendors, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term infrastructure growth. You have a global mindset and the ability to travel internationally for several weeks per year to conduct site audits, oversee large-scale deployments, and align lifecycle standards across our global footprint

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with various engineers to plan, track and document the lifecycle of our serverfleet globally.
  • Partner with our supply chain manager to manage stock levels for critical replacement parts across our data centers, so we're prepared for quick fixes when needed.
  • Collaborate with peers and external parties to plan and execute datacenter deployments and expansions, from kick off to a provision-ready datacenter.
  • Work with peers and stakeholders to support the platform’s YoY growth.
  • Keep our DCIM data 100% accurate for all deployments.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits.

Who you are:

  • Experienced in data center engineering as well as operations
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure and data center best practices.
  • The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in the deployment and management of advanced liquid cooling architectures, as it will be responsible of advising and designing liquid cooled systems
  • Experienced in DCIM and asset management on a large scale.
  • Self-starter who can juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • Clear communicator — whether it’s writing up documentation, working with vendors, or coordinating with teams across regions.
