What you are going to do

• You are responsible for the technical delivery (build and handover) of end to end Instant Payments journeys from/to Payments and Savings/Investment core systems, and its accompanied integration with external SaaS providers
• You are familiar with documenting system design such as UML and C4
• You collaborate, and influence fellow engineers (based on your prior knowledge and experience) while also adhering to company standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across projects
• You join forces with other engineers across Payments and Savings/Investments lines of business, in contributing to the collective thinking / resolution of common engineering challenges

Who you are

• You are a strong backend software engineer who can go under the hood and work comfortably with Cloud development, and release using TypeScript, GraphQL, and AWS Serverless technologies
• You are familiar with design patterns such as Event-Driven architecture, Microservices and have experience with Distributed Transactions
• You are expected to have a basic understanding of system design languages, such as UML (Unified Modeling Language) and C4 model, to understand and contribute to the design and documentation of the integration you will be building
• You are an avid follower of developments in AWS Cloud, Serverless, who constantly look for ways to adapt the code or engineering processes used in delivering the value
• You are a fair, transparent and accountable person who does not hesitate to talk openly about challenges, failures as well as does not shy away from owning and taking your work towards completion

You know how to work in an Agile environment where collaboration, feedback loops, and continuous improvements are the foundations. Additionally, you possess:

• 5 years of experience working as a backend software engineer
• Hands-on experience building with AWS Serverless technologies, GraphQL, TypeScript
• DevOps mindset and knowledge about secure software architectures and patterns

Who you will work with

You are going to be a part of a team of unique awesome individuals with different backgrounds and cultures who are working together to build and maintain crucial online Payments, and Savings accounts journeys. You will be mostly working independently on these journeys, with frequent interactions with engineering teams on both sides (Payments and Savings/Investment lines of businesses). You will work closely with Business Analyst, and with Staff Engineer (for tech decisions). You will report to the Engineering Manager for Payments.
