Senior system engineer Life Science and Health

As a Senior System Engineer Life Science and Health (Maastricht, Engineering, Lead / senior), you will guide the development of complex systems that matter. You will design the architecture – often from scratch – and guide multidisciplinary teams in making smart, well-considered technical choices in close collaboration with the customer.

What are you going to do?

Your technical insight, experience and problem-solving skills make you a trusted partner for our (international) customers. You will have final responsibility for the system design, from requirements and architecture to implementation, integration, verification and validation.

You will switch smoothly between regulations (such as ISO 13485), pragmatism and project goals. As a technical leader, you will work closely with project management and (lead) engineers to monitor quality, planning and budget. You will provide direction, maintain an overview and ensure strong cooperation within the team.

You are entrepreneurial, contribute ideas to the project structure and know how to inspire people. Your work is diverse, challenging and makes a visible contribution to innovations in healthcare.

What do you bring to the table?

• At least 9 years of experience as a systems engineer in an R&D environment
• MSc/PhD in, for example, Mechatronics, Electronics or Biomedical Technology
• Knowledge of medical standards and Safety Risk Management (such as ISO 13485)
• Proactive, flexible attitude; you anticipate risks and ensure that the team can continue to work smoothly
