As a Sr. Quality Engineer, you work every day on improving product quality and business processes. With our Mission Zero ambition, we strive for nothing less than becoming a world-class manufacturer in sustainable aerospace: zero defects, zero waste, and maximum reliability. In doing so, we make a significant contribution to complex and highly critical military products.

Within the serial production environment, it is not just about repetition, but above all about continuous improvement. Products, processes, and quality standards are constantly evolving. Together with a team of approximately 10 quality professionals, you work to ensure seamless alignment between quality and day-to-day operations.

Activities

What are your tasks and responsibilities?

In this role, you operate at the heart of our organization. You work in an environment where tolerances are tight and quality issues have a major impact. You identify risks before they turn into problems, analyze deviations, and translate them into structural improvements. At the same time, you actively contribute to the further development of business processes, enabling smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable operations every day.

The activities include:

  • Preparing, maintaining, and safeguarding quality procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation in accordance with, among others, the AS9100 standard.
  • Being responsible for the correct and timely handling of non-conformance reports, both internally and externally.
  • Performing and/or facilitating system, process, and product audits, both periodically and in response to complaints or quality deviations.
  • Ensuring that existing products and processes continue to comply with customer specifications and established process capability requirements.
  • Initiating, coordinating, and implementing improvement actions aimed at increasing product quality and reducing costs, based on independently conducted analyses following complaints or production and quality issues.

What we offer

  • Gross monthly salary between €4,680 and €6,500, depending on education and experience.
  • An annual mid-year allowance of 4%, an end-of-year allowance of 3%, and a performance-based bonus of up to 3%.
  • A monthly contribution of €176.56 towards your health insurance premium.
  • 40 vacation days per year.
  • An attractive pension scheme, with Aeronamic covering 77% of your pension premium.
  • Flexible working hours, with the option to start your workday between 7:00 and 10:00 a.m.

You bring

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree (HBO level), preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering / Industrial Management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, APQP/PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, and Zero Defect Plans.
  • Several years of relevant work experience in a production environment, preferably within the aerospace industry or a comparable sector.
  • Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
  • Personality: proactive, detail-oriented, persistent, a team player, structured, and critical-minded.
