Introduction to the Job

As a Global Mobility Specialist, you play a key role in safeguarding ASML’s global mobility compliance for international business travelers. Rather than only managing individual cases, you take end‑to‑end ownership of processes, improvements, and cross‑cluster alignment. Your role is essential in shaping the future of our compliance landscape, especially as ASML pioneers an advanced AI‑driven immigration advisory tool, going live July 1, 2026.

This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy connecting dots, engaging with various stakeholders, and driving tactical & strategic improvements. Immigration/ tax knowledge is a strong plus, but not required; what matters most is ownership, curiosity, and the ability to gather expertise from across the organization and translate it into solid proposals and solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Expertise

  • Oversee complex compliance processes, including immigration, social security, wage & income tax, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead your area of expertise (e.g., immigration, tax, social security, tooling, project) and serve as a trusted advisor to internal & external stakeholders.
  • Take daily ownership of ticket division and ensure smooth operational execution, stepping in when needed during peak volumes, escalations, or complaints.
  • Safeguard workload balance and align closely with peer specialists to maintain stability and quality in daily operations.

Compliance Ownership & Authority Relations

  • Independently align with (local) authorities and external vendors to secure compliant, timely processing of applications.
  • Proactively work with Tier 3 experts and suppliers, ensuring strategic partnership, knowledge flow, and escalation handling.
  • Identify changes in laws and regulations and align implications with Tier 3; provide policy signals and policy usage.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

  • Provide clear, structured, and proactive advice to travelers, business stakeholders, and managers on feasibility of travel, processing timelines, and compliance risks.
  • Ensure travelers receive correct, complete information and communicate proactively if travel plans are not feasible.
  • Maintain strong collaboration and synergy between compliance clusters and broader stakeholder groups.

Projects, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, initiate, lead, and own overarching or end‑to‑end projects that improve compliance processes, traveler experience, or tooling.
  • Support mid‑term strategic goals by driving structural, cross-functional improvements in collaboration with others.
  • Own KPIs and ensure transparent performance steering.
  • Execute ad-hoc and non-standard reporting and data analyses to support compliance insights and business decision‑making.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our AI-powered immigration advisory tool; bring user insights, test prototypes, and help shape future capabilities.

Team Development

  • Safeguard collaboration and knowledge-sharing across clusters and regions to ensure alignment, synergy, and consistent compliance practices.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Master level education, preferably in HR, international business, law, public administration, data or comparable fields.
  • Strong interest in complex regulatory and administrative processes; experience in immigration/ tax or global mobility is a plus but not a must.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office; experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Excel analytics, workflow tooling) is a plus.
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders and cultures and managing end-to-end processes.

Skills

  • Strong ownership mindset, able to gather information, connect dots, and create well-founded proposals based on input from various parties.
  • Professional attitude with critical thinking and eagerness to learn.
  • Confident communicator who can operate effectively in a global, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Pragmatic, analytical, and result-driven.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proposing improvements.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Interest in innovation and technology, especially in relation to AI-driven compliance tooling.
