Senior Mechanical Engineer

What you would do

As our Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate both independently and within teams on one or multiple projects. Your responsibilities include mechanical (conceptual) design, project execution and providing engineering support to both production and customers. You will report directly to the R&D Manager.

You would also:

• Manage projects from initial client contact to product delivery, including product (conceptual) development and design, prototyping, testing, supplier coordination, parts sourcing, production line setup and process development.
• Support both production and customers by analysing, troubleshooting, and resolving product and manufacturing process issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of effective solutions.
• Maintain communication with team members, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to the development process, quality, efficiency, safety, and environmental initiatives.
• Support the commercial department.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

• Bachelors or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Extensive experience in product development and design, preferably using SolidWorks; familiarity with fine mechanical systems, generators, and electric motors is a plus.
• Proven experience in supporting products in production, including troubleshooting and resolving product and manufacturing issues.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively in order to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English with a natural talent to influence at various levels of the organization.
