About this role

Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Amsterdam office & 2 days working from home

Are you a business-savvy data specialist ready to transform billions of customer records into tangible business impact?

As a Lead Data Analyst in the Customer Intelligence team, you'll be at the heart of our Customer Engagement & Loyalty efforts, driving customer growth and retention. Your mission is to leverage our massive datasets, leading strategic projects on order behavior and customer touchpoints to activate customers, boost order frequencies, and prevent churn. You are the essential link, transforming raw data into actionable and strategic insights, robust models, and dynamic dashboards that directly influence business strategy.

You'll be part of a diverse and dynamic environment within a leading tech company, working with the newest technology, platforms, and tools. You won’t just analyse data—you will collaborate extensively across departments, helping to bring your insights to life. You will also be an active member of our extensive data community, which offers continuous engagement through meet-ups, training, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse & Model

  • Conduct advanced data analyses using Python and SQL to uncover strategic, customer-centric insights.
  • Design and support the evaluation of customer engagement campaigns and propositions using controlled experiments, such as A/B testing, and thorough statistical methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our statistical models and analytical methodologies (e.g., LTV, propensity, segmentation).

Collaborate & Influence

  • Translate your data-driven findings into persuasive presentations with clear, actionable recommendations for marketers, product teams, sales, and leadership.
  • Break silos by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, sales, and local analytics) to ensure data insights are activated and measured correctly.
  • Assist in promoting the effective use of customer data and analytical tooling throughout the organization.

Innovate & Improve

  • Unlock new data sources to enrich your analyses and enable the testing of new hypotheses.
  • Explore and implement the usage of new (AI) technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team's output.
  • Structure and manage analytical projects from scoping to delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality results for stakeholders.

What Will You Bring to the Team?

We are looking for a highly analytical and structured individual who can lead complex data initiatives and translate them into business value.

  • Strong organisational and execution skills, with a proven ability to scope, plan, and deliver complex analytical projects on time while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and modelling using SQL and Python (or R).
  • Demonstrated experience in applying data insights to marketing and customer engagement strategies (e.g., retention, acquisition, personalisation).
  • Proven experience in managing successful, insight-driven marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including TV, OOH, PR, social media, PPC, CRM, and in-app/web promotions.
  • Experience in experimental design and statistical evaluation, specifically of marketing campaigns (e.g., setting up controlled tests, calculating ROI, measuring lift).
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Focused on delivering results with the ability to execute quickly, adapt to change, and thrive in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Motivated and forward-thinking, with experience working in entrepreneurial or e-commerce/marketplace settings.
