Role Overview

Provide expert guidance and support in the implementation, management, and optimisation of the M365 Platform and associated services and applications across CRH. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse business requirements and deliver technical solutions on platform services that leverage M365 and associated capabilities on a global scale across the organisation. Provide high quality operational and technical support primarily on SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Teams.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage the M365 Collaboration platform (SharePoint, Forms, Power Platform, Teams) and associated services/application integrations, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and drive performance improvement and utilisation of M365 tools and services with a strong focus on integration and standardisation across the central technology services team and divisions.
  • Provide third line guidance, support, and technical expertise for the M365 platform and associated services and applications under the scope of the M365 platform.
  • Provide advanced support for platform related issues, working closely with local IT teams to resolve complex problems.
  • Work with local IT teams and under the direction of the M365 Platform Manager, fulfil level 3 and where applicable level 2 M365 requests/issues.
  • Escalate incidents to 3rd parties, ensure appropriate escalation procedures and management of SLAs and follow ups as necessary.
  • Assist in the development and configuration of solutions across the range of M365 platforms and services based on the central technology services strategy & roadmap. Where required, advise local IT teams and any other relevant parties using the service.
  • Attend technical meetings with local IT teams/service desks and any other relevant parties to diagnose, progress incidents, support implementation of new solutions, and gather user requirements to support the development of OneCRH (unified tenant). Share learnings/insights with the wider CTS team to drive performance.
  • Work with the M365 Platform manager, CTS team, and local IT teams to enhance collaboration, user proficiency, and adoption of M365 tools across the organisation.
  • Work with the CTS Adoption and Governance team and Business Partners to develop and deliver training programs to optimise the utilisation of platform tools.
  • Ensure that M365 platform services comply with and are up to date with CRH security and regulatory requirements. Monitor and respond to security incidents as required.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of central technology M365 platform policies and procedures, continuously evaluate and improve these processes driving consistency across the organisation.

Key Functional Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 technology environment and infrastructure across CRH platforms and associated services and applications within a comparable landscape.
  • Strong understanding of related security and compliance features.
  • Demonstrated experience across a number of M365 services including SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Teams.
  • Broad knowledge of Technology Infrastructure and operating in a Central Services environment.
  • Ability to foster a culture of innovation by staying updated on the latest advancements in M365 solutions.
  • Highly results-orientated individual focused on achieving tangible results working as part of a global team in a hybrid (remote/on-site) environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key contacts and across divisions and teams, fostering collaboration across these networks.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience / Education

  • At least 5 years relevant experience in managing and supporting M365 services in a large, global organisation with a strong focus on standardisation.
  • Proven track record of successful M365 implementations focusing on SharePoint Online and Power Platform, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with security and compliance in M365 environments.
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification or significant experiential knowledge to offset formal qualification.
