Join SHV as a Senior Internal Auditor

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

SHV is looking for a new Senior Internal Auditor to join its centralized Internal Audit team, which mainly performs audits for Mammoet and Kiwa—both SHV companies. The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for the ongoing review and improvement of various processes throughout both global organisations, including finance, operations, quality, HR, and more.

We conduct all our internal audits with the clear goal of continuously improving processes and minimizing risk. Instead of policing our colleagues, we take an advisory role that depends on our ability to connect with stakeholders throughout the business and establish collaborative relationships. If you are able to initiate, facilitate, and complete the audit plan and stay up to date on discussions with relevant stakeholders, we are looking for you!

Please note: Although this vacancy is published on the Mammoet career site, the employment contract will be issued by SHV Holdings. You will formally be employed by SHV Holdings and work as part of its centralized Internal Audit team, which performs audits primarily for Mammoet and Kiwa.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Plan and execute independent engagements of operational, financial, and other related processes, making recommendations on how operations may be improved, maintained at a high level, or risks can be managed more effectively.
• Assist in performing fraud or one-off investigations, obtaining and analysing evidence, and making recommendations to senior management.
• Establish and maintain an audit recommendations database and follow up on the completion of agreed improvements.
• Draft concise, high-impact reports based on factual data gathered as part of internal audit assignments.
• Assist the Head of Internal Audit in preparation of the annual audit plan(s).
• Promote and develop good working relationships with all departments within the business, acting as an ambassador in all matters pertaining to risk management and internal control.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We are looking for a skilled communicator with a strong personality, who can build lasting relationships with people across countries and cultures while also pointing out opportunities for improvement in a concise and convincing way. What you bring:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a related field, such as internal/external audit
• Experience as a (Assistant) Manager (e.g., at a Big 4 company) is an advantage
• Willingness to travel up to 20-30%, usually about 1 week per month
• Experience in stakeholder management
• English is required; any additional language is an advantage
• Fraud investigation or IT audit knowledge is a plus
