This is how you make impact as a Supply Quality Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you are responsible for developing and improving the quality performance of our suppliers.

In our state-of-the-art cleanroom in Echt, we design and assemble complex, high-quality cable products for customers in the high-tech sector. To continue meeting our customers’ stringent quality requirements, it is essential that not only our own processes are well controlled, but that our suppliers also deliver high-quality products in accordance with agreed standards.

In your role as a bridge builder, you operate at both strategic and tactical levels. You maintain strong relationships with suppliers, create awareness of the importance of quality, and develop and implement improvement plans.

This is what you bring to the team

• A completed bachelor’s degree (HBO level), preferably complemented by business and/or technical affinity.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including proven experience in conducting internal and/or external audits.
• Preferably experience in a production environment involving the manufacturing or assembly of mechanical components.
• Strong communication skills, action-driven, with a clear vision and decisiveness regarding quality.
• Proactive, initiative-taking, critical, solution-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (QLTC).
• Preferably familiar with VDA 6.3, or willing to learn.
• Willingness to travel to supplier locations, both nationally and internationally.

Your daily responsibilities include

• Setting up, implementing, and guiding quality improvement initiatives with suppliers.
• Preparing and conducting (process) audits at supplier sites, documenting the results, and ensuring proper follow-up.
• Approving suppliers for the delivery of NPI products.
• Ensuring supplier compliance with applicable standards.
• Preparing monthly KPI reports (PPM and material complaints), analyzing trends, and proposing improvement actions.
• Supporting suppliers in the implementation of product-specific standards.
