As a Full-Stack Software Developer at Nedap Healthcare, you will work on the further development and scaling of Nedap Luna, a digital day calendar that supports people with cognitive impairments or dementia in their daily lives. You will work in a product environment where software, hardware, and user research are closely intertwined.
A key part of your role is developing and supporting a New Generation of Hardware. This involves working on fundamental technical changes, such as introducing a new communication protocol, supporting a non-standard screen format (including redesigning the rendering engine), and integrating speech for audio-based announcements. At the same time, you ensure that our architecture can support multiple hardware generations in parallel, without compromising stability or maintainability.
In addition, you will contribute to further professionalizing our platform for a rapidly growing user base. This includes setting up infrastructure for usage analytics, improving activation and onboarding flows, and implementing large-scale interface redesigns. You develop end-to-end functionality: from backend services in Kotlin/Java (Spring) to front-end implementations in Vue, continuously balancing performance, scalability, and user experience.
In this role, you combine hands-on development with contributing to technical direction and long-term architecture, within a product landscape that is deliberately becoming more complex.
Your responsibilities
Design & build: You design and implement new features based on real-world insights from healthcare professionals and clients, across both front-end and backend.
Architecture & Quality: You make well-considered technical decisions that ensure high code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Collaboration: You work closely with colleagues from sales, hardware engineering, and other software developers, making optimal use of each other’s expertise.
User interaction: You regularly speak with customers to understand their needs and context, and translate these into effective solutions.
Ownership: You take the lead on one or more substantive topics, set the overall direction, and define issues for the team to work on.
Your team
As a Full-Stack Software Developer, you will join a multidisciplinary team within Nedap Healthcare, where software developers, hardware engineers, product owners, and sales work closely together. The team is entering an important next phase: in 2026, we will support two hardware generations simultaneously for the first time, including the New Generation Of Hardware.
We strongly believe in a thoughtful development approach. By expanding the team, we create room for research, prototyping, and validation, for example through a “tick-tock” cadence, where one developer focuses on stable delivery while another explores, prototypes, or validates future work. This directly improves decision-making, quality, and long-term maintainability.
Our offer
As a Full-Stack Software Developer at Nedap, you will make a valuable contribution to our goal: making people happier and more successful in their professional lives. In addition to your salary, you are entitled to a thirteenth month, a good pension scheme, and profit sharing with the opportunity to become a shareholder of Nedap. At Nedap, everything revolves around trust and autonomy. That’s why, along with your colleagues, you decide on your own working hours and vacation days to maintain a healthy work-life balance. We also highly value personal and professional growth. You will receive a comprehensive introduction, and we encourage you to continuously develop yourself.
Required experience and skills
You are a Full-Stack Software Developer who is energized by user-centered problem solving and enjoys working in an environment where technology, product, and societal impact come together. You are comfortable in a full-stack role and think beyond implementation alone: you want to understand why you are building something and how it can be improved. You value taking time for research and quality, especially in an increasingly complex product landscape.
Good to know: You are available for 32-38 hours per week. Hybrid (remote) working is common at Nedap, you and your team can coordinate your working hours to achieve a good work-life balance. You will be present at our campus in Groenlo at least one day every week.
