Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer for the Engineering Assurance and Reliability team within Project Delivery & Engineering, WTG in our Business Area Wind.

As part of BA Wind, you will play a key role in one of the most exciting pipelines in the industry, with 24GW of capacity stretching out more than a decade ahead across our key European markets.

The Engineering department is the technical know-how center within Business Area Wind, setting the standards and guidelines as well as being embedded within our projects, both through the development and implementation phase as well as in operations.

Working within the Engineering Assurance and Reliability Department in WTG and Project Delivery & Engineering, the Project Engineer will work with a variety of stakeholders internal in engineering to secure quality and across Project Delivery & Engineering and Generation to support operational engineering excellence.

Specific responsibilities in Engineering Assurance and Reliability:

• Deliver CMS & data analytics on spinning assets, including interfaces to maintenance strategy, operational budget planning, and operation support.
• Act as the focal point within Project Delivery on continuous improvement projects with an interface to product lifecycle and focus on RBA ("Revenue Based Availability").
• Deliver second line gatekeeping in technical tickets between customer requests and engineering deliverables, with high focus on stakeholder management and operational risk.
• Deliver project management including lifetime extension on operation and new projects, fully aligned with O&M projects, Asset Management, and regional support in generation.
• Be the "Go to team" related to optimization and improvement of RBA & OPEX internally in engineering with an interface directly to generation.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of Project Delivery and Engineering, you will be fully deployed to support our cross-functional project management in the Engineering Assurance and Reliability team.

• Be part of continuous development and securing quality engineering work.
• Ensure a high level of project engineering work within project delivery and engineering towards customers.
• Work with root cause analysis and secure rollout within Engineering and Generation.
• Work with process management and continuous improvement across management systems to secure full context of projects.
• Work with investment proposals & risk management (supported by team) as part of defining business value in the project engineering area.
• Work with change management and root cause analysis to support operating fleet and projects.
• Work with our technical authorities/specialists as main stakeholders within the engineering department.
• Work with project management on operational optimization programs.

The role requires the following profile:

• Background and/or preferably an engineering university degree (M.Sc. or PhD) with a minimum of 5 years relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in working with project management and planning.
• Experience in working with root cause analysis.
• Experience in working with stakeholder management.
• Experience in working with process management.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Positive mindset, seeing opportunities with a “glass half full” approach to work.
• Highly motivated and communicative, with enthusiasm and a belief in teamwork as the right way to achieve goals.
• Proven skills in dealing with issues, problems and challenges, and the ability to transfer technical and/or project challenges into solutions.
