What will you be doing?

You will work closely together with colleagues in Amsterdam and Marknesse of the Vertical Flight and Aeroacoustics department. Our rotorcraft team is dedicated to R&D on manned and unmanned VTOL platforms and operations. The scope of the projects you will be involved in ranges from concept design to certification, and from simulation to flight testing. You will be engaged in multiple projects at the same time, requiring strong organizational and time management skills.

As an experienced engineer, you will not only participate in, but also lead projects spanning multiple disciplines, departments, and project partners. You will also write commercial proposals for our clients, leveraging your unique knowledge and experience to successfully acquire new projects. Our clients come from a range of sectors, including national Defence, the European Commission, and the rotorcraft industry.

What do you bring to the table?

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A strong educational background in Aerospace Engineering or a related field (MSc degree or PhD)
  • Relevant work experience in a field related to rotorcraft or aerospace engineering
  • Experience with rotorcraft modelling, simulation and/or testing is a plus
  • The ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of military operations or experience working with defence organizations is an asset
