We love denim. Live and breathe it. It’s in our DNA.

At G-STAR, we see no limit to what denim can do. We believe it can be a force of progress and innovation for both people and planet. How? By hiring the most creative, curious and caring minds. People who think beyond fashion. Bringing big ideas to big challenges. Driven by possibility. Those who work hard, make mistakes, but always continue to grow. Denim is in our DNA, our people are our stitching.

Join the denim heads making raw denim!

Here's what we'll do together:

Is your passion for denim as high as ours? In this internship, you will learn quality consciousness to help provide the best product to the end consumers with the right quality and high durability. Are you an enthusiastic person who thinks out of the box to explore the possibilities to improve the quality standard of G-STAR? Then you are the right person to apply for this intern position.

Just imagine – as our new Intern Quality & Production Support, you’ll help with creating and administrating our quality & production management system, distribute and evaluate samples, and contact other relevant departments whenever improvement is needed. You will act as a ‘Quality & Production’ bridge between departments for challenges faced from development until final goods on the marketplace.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

You will be supporting the R&D, Fabric/Trim Developer, Quality Assurance, and Production Operations teams. These different teams and tasks are closely connected within the product department.

For the Fabric/Trim Development part, you will assist in the following tasks:

  • Support with setting up new fabric, trim, and wash developments together with our designers.
  • Keep close contact with and liaise between fabric mills, trim suppliers, and garment vendors throughout the whole development process.
  • Receive material samples and support in reviewing if they are ready to approve for the upcoming collection.
  • Keep our trim catalogue and material archives up to date.

For the Quality Assurance and Production tasks:

  • Support with fabric and garment risk assessments to prevent potential failures in production.
  • Assess fabric performance by handing out, evaluating, and performing wear tests.
  • Support with pre-production approval stages, approvals, and samples.
  • Support suppliers during pre-production/production.
  • Maintain the denim wash archive to control consistency throughout the production process and denim collection.
  • Support and investigate online and offline returns and work on corrective action plans.
  • Support with quality issues and investigations.
  • Support and monitor sustainability tasks.
  • Handle administrative tasks (reporting, report uploads, etc.).

What you bring to the table:

  • Fashion? You live and breathe it.
  • You are an enthusiastic, out of the box thinker.
  • You have basic knowledge in MS Office.
  • Basic knowledge in Adobe Illustrator is a plus!
  • You are well organized, versatile, with a can-do attitude.
  • You are self-confident, proactive, with strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • You are available full-time (40hrs per week) for a period of 6 months starting in February 2026.
  • You are already living in the Netherlands and are in possession of a BSN.
  • It is preferred that you are pursuing a Bachelor/Master in Textile and Research. However, having another academic background is also fine if you are enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • You are enrolled at a university or college in the Netherlands during the whole length of the internship.
  • If you are a non-EU student in The Netherlands, you are in possession of a mandatory internship assignment.
  • If you have a strong personality and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, we’d love to meet you!

Here's what we bring to the table:

In addition to a €600 monthly allowance for your internship, working at G-STAR brings so many perks and exciting opportunities, we don’t know where to begin… How about:

  • An awesome and diverse team that collaborates to inspire,
  • A work environment that offers room for fun, inspiration, and innovation,
  • A clothing budget of €400 to buy the latest G-STAR items!
  • A healthy, fresh, and delicious lunch in our HQ in Amsterdam,
  • If you don’t have an OV student travel card, we will cover your travel expenses,
  • You will also enjoy two paid days of leave per month!
