About the Team:

The team works on a product that serves as a search engine and analytics platform for researchers, including academicians, research organizations, and international bodies like the UNDP, providing research data and analytics capabilities.

About the Role:

This position performs research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. You will work on individual pieces of work and solve problems, including designing program flow, effective coding, and unit testing.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications delivering high-quality user experiences.
• Implement features with precision, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, incorporating new techniques into the codebase while managing technical debt effectively.
• Mentor and train fellow frontend engineers to foster growth and learning.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, backend developers, and testers to deliver innovative features that meet business needs.
• Write clear, detailed technical specifications and documentation for system components.
• Participate actively in Agile processes such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex coding challenges, providing expert guidance and solutions.
• Maintain attention to UI/UX details to ensure consistent quality.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience required

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for scalable, robust applications.
• Experience with modern frameworks like ReactJS or Vue, especially in large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or other E2E testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and stay current with industry trends.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
