Test Engineer

This is how you make an impact

Our customer is working on an innovative project and wants us to think along with them. After the design phase, the product goes into production, and you, as the Test Engineer, will collaborate with our client to determine what and how we should test our product. You’ll design the test setup, both in terms of hardware and software. Once the test is developed, you'll also build the test setup yourself, which involves soldering and assembling. Eventually, the products are tested by one of our testers. When the test results are in, you'll analyze them and translate your findings into improvement actions within our production environment.

What you bring to the team

As a Test Engineer, you play a key role in the production of our complex and high-quality cable products for leading clients in the high-tech industry. You ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• MBO+ / Bachelor’s level of education, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics;
• Relevant experience is a plus, but recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree are also welcome!
• Knowledge of electronics – you understand how to design electronics and have an affinity for software development;
• The ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical product documentation;
• A curious and solution-oriented mindset;
• The confidence to take initiative and suggest improvements;
• Availability of 32–40 hours per week;
• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English.

Your daily responsibilities

When you start with us, we ensure a thorough onboarding process, helping you get familiar with our products and production environment. You’ll spend time with various departments and, if necessary, we’ll train you to use the appropriate software for developing test software.

Your tasks also include:

• Preparing test documentation and guiding/training testers and repair technicians on new tests;
• Collaborating in a multidisciplinary team and handling customer inquiries and quotations;
• Discussing the technical aspects of outsourcing work to the Neways production facility in Slovakia;
• Proposing and implementing improvements related to testing and test equipment.
