Medior Consultant Rebel Green Finance

Rebel is looking for a medior consultant with experience in financial modelling in the energy transition and sustainable infrastructure projects.

Who are we looking for?

We are on the lookout for a new Rebel to join our emerging markets energy transition team (Rebel Green Finance). Someone with a few years of experience who can help to further grow our business – but also somebody who takes a broader interest in Rebel’s activities as a whole. Somebody who can strengthen our international advisory and project finance work, and who thrives in an entrepreneurial, impact-driven and flexible environment.

• You have 3–5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in financial advisory, project finance, or strategy consulting within the energy or infrastructure sector. Additionally, ideally you have experience working in emerging markets and developing countries in Africa, Asia and/or Latin America.
• You have a graduate degree in economics, business/finance or related field.
• You have a strong command of financial modelling and enjoy translating complex ideas into clear insights.
• You have proven interest in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, and an understanding of the challenges of the public-private dynamics in emerging markets.
• You have strong speaking and writing skills in English and preferably a minimum of one other language.
• You have the ability to work independently, create and seize opportunities where they arise, bring a strong commercial drive combined with an interest in social and civic issues – and you see yourself developing an ambition to contribute to our growth and make Rebel even more successful.

About us

In 2002 we started Rebel because we wanted to make the world a little bit better. Today, around 200 Rebels are working from our main offices in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Düsseldorf, Johannesburg, Nairobi, Washington DC, San Francisco, and Dubai on projects in socially relevant sectors including social infrastructure, mobility and transport, culture, healthcare, water, solid waste & circular economy and renewable energy.

We support governments, development banks, and private developers in developing, structuring, and financing renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure projects that create real impact.

Example projects

Some of our projects include:

• Providing financial assistance to green hydrogen developers in Chile;
• Advising on the financial structuring of a 120 MW wind power project in Mozambique;
• Providing transaction advisory for the development of a 700 km transmission PPP in Ethiopia;
• Conducting a financial feasibility study for a dual-use solar and aquaculture project in the Philippines;

Advising the Government of Mauritania on the negotiation of multi-GW green hydrogen projects.
