The Corporate Tax Operations Manager plays a critical role in driving continuous process improvement and operational excellence within the Global Tax Team. This position supports the standardization, harmonization, and optimization of global tax compliance and reporting processes. It is a global role.

The position is instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Global Tax operating model through structured project management, performance monitoring, budget oversight, and collaboration with external compliance service providers. Additionally, the Corporate Tax Operations Manager directly supports the VP of Global Tax in communicating strategic messages and priorities for the Global Tax department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Portfolio Management: Maintain a comprehensive inventory of ongoing and completed tax projects. Monitor project progress, key milestones, and deliverables. Measure return on investment (ROI), ensure timely follow-ups, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Process Standardization and Optimization: Support the Tax Operations Director in initiatives aimed at standardizing and optimizing tax processes and procedures across the organization. Identify and promote best practices, ensure operational consistency, and assist in implementing improvements. Contribute to strategic decisions regarding insourcing versus outsourcing of tax activities.
  • External Service Provider Management: Manage relationships with external tax service providers, ensuring adherence to performance standards and contractual obligations. Support the selection, onboarding, and evaluation of providers. Drive harmonization of compliance processes across jurisdictions.
  • KPI Monitoring and Performance Management: Monitor the performance of Global Tax operations against established KPIs. Identify performance gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Assist the VP Global Tax in the preparation, tracking, and performance measurement of the Global Tax organization’s budget. Ensure alignment of financial planning with operational goals and project priorities.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years in a large multinational company in tax and tax-related projects, with a proven track record of driving results in complex, global environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CTA) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in defining, implementing, and optimizing tax compliance and reporting processes, with experience leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Skilled in managing and planning cross-functional projects, with the ability to coordinate across departments and geographies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to support strategic decision-making.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.
