Your assignment

You will support the supplier order lead time reduction program within the Metrology, Light Source, and Positioning (MLP) cluster. Your work will focus on process improvements, standardization, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Contribute to initiatives that reduce supplier order lead times.
  • Assist in standardizing lead time reduction practices across suppliers.
  • Support and help facilitate Value Stream Mapping workshops at supplier sites.
  • Document workshop outcomes and track progress toward lead time targets.
  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates for supplier progress.
  • Prepare internal reports for stakeholders on lead time reduction status.
  • Analyze bottlenecks and propose actionable solutions for improvement.

This is a bachelor or master (non-thesis) internship for a minimum of 6 months, at least 4 days per week (2-3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is February 2026.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Have a background in industrial engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Have strong analytical skills and enjoy working with data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Are collaborative and comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders.
  • Show a proactive attitude and take ownership of tasks.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular.
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. If you are currently living or studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include your willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
