Internship Opportunity in AI-Driven Process Optimization at ASML’s TF OE Quality Department

The TF OE Quality department is responsible for controlling product quality within ASML’s factories, handling customer complaints, and driving continuous improvement across operations. As part of ASML’s ambition to embed quality into both processes and culture, the team is exploring smarter, data-driven ways of working. This internship offers a unique opportunity to help identify where Artificial Intelligence can optimize recurring activities and workflows. You’ll contribute to shaping how AI can be practically applied within a high-tech manufacturing environment, with direct impact on business processes.

Your assignment

  • Mapping and analyzing recurring activities across the team.
  • Identifying inefficiencies and automation potential.
  • Researching ASML-approved AI tools and matching them to relevant tasks.
  • Proposing feasible AI use cases with clear business impact.
  • Documenting findings and sharing insights through reports and presentations.
  • Supporting internal knowledge sharing and future AI initiatives.

Your profile

  • Are a Bachelor’s student in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Have affinity with AI and interest in practical applications within business processes.
  • Are skilled in workflow mapping and process analysis.
  • Are a proactive communicator who enjoys engaging with stakeholders.
  • Are curious about emerging technologies and their impact on operational excellence.

This internship is designed to provide hands-on work experience over a minimum duration of three months, with a commitment of at least three days per week, including two days on-site. The internship is set to begin in February 2026.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular.
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
