Introduction to the job

It is essential that ASML's property, plants and equipment, buildings, real estate and services are maintained at a consistently high level to realize our growth targets. The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) organization is a centralized department that is responsible for CRE activities worldwide, serving over 40,000 employees.

As our Technical Facility Manager, you will act as the (technical/functional) area owner and thus know the internal customers, the business (production) processes, asset system relations and dependencies. You will be responsible for the business continuity and availability of the facilities and utility systems in a specific building cluster through securing effective and efficient maintenance operations. As the expert counterpart, you will facilitate and support suppliers with complex issues and continuous improvement in order to ensure and improve the reliability of assets.

Role and responsibilities

The core of this position lies in the judgement and coordination of solutions, securing correct communications and alignment, and deciding upon the necessary actions. Amongst other things, you will:

  • Translate service demand into annual plans, including activities and capacity forecasts, changes, and improvements.
  • Act as a functional/technical maintenance specialist and area owner, serving as a sparring partner for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a functional/technical trouble-shooter and emergency response coordinator.
  • Provide operational and tactical collaboration/leadership within the supply chain for service delivery.
  • Manage escalation, deviation, and recovery processes.
  • Monitor the issuance of work permits.
  • Manage risk and root cause assessments following incidents, inspections, or other observations (pccsim, near miss, etc.).

Education and experience

  • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, asset management, or a similar field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar complex (industrial) environment.

  • Excellent decision-making skills in fast-changing and complex environments, and capable of dealing with uncertainties.
  • Strongly results-oriented with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability.
  • Social skills: emphatic, listening, enthusing, and collaborating.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Dutch.
  • High organizational sensitivity, situational awareness, and networking skills, balancing (conflicting) interests.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Dutch.

Other information

To perform this role properly, you must be present on site for at least 4 days per week. Peers in your team are other Technical Facility and Service Managers, Operations Improvement Manager, Facility Shutdown Manager, and Maintenance Project Portfolio Manager. You will report to the Operations/Tactical Asset Management Manager.
