Be part of progress: Internship Opportunity in the DUV System Industrialization Department – Upgrades Team

The internship will be part of the DUV System Industrialization Department, specifically the Upgrades team, which integrates and industrializes complex dependencies from various competencies in commercial upgrades packages for DUV. The team supports worldwide execution of upgrades for machines running production in diverse customer environments. The main challenge of the department is managing multiple complex dependencies across different platforms and machine types.

Your assignment

The current manual process of creating upgrade deliverables is time-intensive, resource-heavy, and not scalable due to increasing product complexity and variety. There is an urgent need for an automated solution to streamline this process. Your tasks may include:

  • Develop a scalable and configurable user interface with robust backend technology to automate the creation of upgrade deliverables;
  • Extend existing VBA code while integrating advanced backend technologies to ensure scalability;
  • Test the developed solution on a real product as proof of concept.

This is a bachelor (thesis) or master (non-thesis) internship for a minimum of 6 months, with at least 4 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February 2026.

Your profile

To be a fit for this assignment, you:

  • Have a background in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Software Technologies, Automation or related fields;
  • Are proficient in VBA (preferred), Python, Java or JavaScript;
  • Have experience in developing automation tools and software programs;
  • Are able to work independently;
  • Are proactive in communication and collaboration with multiple teams.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation explaining why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include your willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
