Join the Machine Conditioning EUV Source Team at ASML

The Machine Conditioning EUV Source team designs and delivers thermal, vacuum, and fluid tin supply solutions for ASML’s extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light sources. These solutions are essential for meeting power and throughput roadmaps in the EUV source business line. This internship focuses on creating a tool that provides feedback on Design for Excellence (DfX) for mechanical designs.

Your assignment

You will work on developing and improving a design tool that can provide feedback regarding design for excellence (DfX) for mechanical designs. The tool should offer intuitive functionality and automation features to enhance usability and efficiency. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Collaborate with interns and colleagues on tool design aspects.
  • Work on a specific tool's improvements, including:
    • Intuitive UI/UX: improve user interface and user experience with customizable layouts and shortcuts, and implement context-aware help and tutorials for better usability;
    • Develop design automation and scripting capabilities;
    • Add accessibility features to support diverse user needs;
    • Ensure the tool is easy to maintain and scalable for the future.

Your profile

  • You are currently pursuing your master's in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field;
  • You have knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA) to automate repetitive tasks;
  • You are familiar with UI/UX design principles;
  • You have a proactive approach and a curiosity-driven mind;
  • You possess good communication skills in English (verbal and written).

This is a Master's non-thesis internship for 3-5 days a week with a minimum duration of 6 months. The start date is around January/February 2026.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
  • You are located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. If you are currently living or studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include your willingness to relocate;
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
