Internship Opportunity in the Industrial Policy and Auditing Department: Project Control Processes Automation

Our team and mission

The Industrial Policy and Auditing Department is responsible for fostering the relations between industry and the Agency, elaborating and implementing the Agency’s industrial policy, defining and implementing the geographical return and industrial audit policies, working closely with Member States on the achievement of their industrial policy goals, and supporting the successful accession of new Member and Cooperating States.

The Capability and Country Support Division, based at ESTEC, is responsible for implementing integration measures for New Member States (NMS), Associate Members (AM), and Cooperating States (PECS) in cooperation with Programme Directorates and the ESA Technical Directorate. The Division manages Incentive Schemes and RPA Schemes, which aim at developing and reinforcing sustainable industrial and academic capabilities in the space domain in these countries, through technology development contracts selected through specific Calls for Activities on topics related to ESA’s overall future programmes activities.

Topic of the internship: Project control processes automation and data handling improvements with SharePoint and PowerBI

As an intern, you will participate in the following tasks:

  • Process automation in SharePoint using Power Automate, Power Apps, Python, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Web-based apps development using React
  • Linux for the virtual machines
  • Financial data handling and PowerBI dashboards development
  • Creation of new tools for the team to function more efficiently

Education

You must be a university student, preferably studying at master’s level. In addition, you must be able to prove that you will be enrolled at your University for the entire duration of the internship.

Additional requirements

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another ESA Member State language is an asset.
