Topic of the internship: Cyber Internal Audit Frameworks Support

In the Navigation Directorate's activities, Cybersecurity Audits play a major role in the security assurance process, contributing to the cybersecurity risk management associated with the organisation and infrastructure, in particular of the navigation systems (e.g. Galileo), which the directorate delivers to its customers. The Cybersecurity Audits are part of the European Space Security Policy for the Navigation Programmes.

You will focus on a research activity about the new Audit Cybersecurity Frameworks related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), such as the Framework for AI Cybersecurity Practices (FAICP) or the ISO SO/IEC 42001:2023 - AI management systems, among others, in order to propose an integration solution with the current Cyber Internal Audit Framework used in the industry.

Education

You must be a university student, preferably studying at master’s level. In addition, you must be able to prove that you will be enrolled at your University for the entire duration of the internship.

Additional requirements

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another ESA Member State language is an asset.

During the interview, your motivation for applying to this role will be explored.

The following criteria would be considered assets:

  • Basic knowledge or training in information security and auditing aspects
  • Knowledge of software development
