We are currently recruiting a Reward Specialist for our HR Department in Amsterdam.

Your impact at MUFG

As a Reward Specialist, you will provide support to the Reward Director in all Performance, Reward and Benefits (PRB) initiatives across the EU businesses. The role involves analysing and presenting compensation data to ensure the local reward framework is competitive, equitable and aligned with business goals, as well as compliant with EU regulation. You will also have the opportunity to support wider initiatives across the Global PRB team, working closely with colleagues in London to contribute to the creation of a successful high-performance culture across MUFG.

The role includes the following:

  • Support the delivery of the annual compensation review, liaising with business heads and HR Business Partners to ensure a successful year-end process.
  • Prepare regulatory disclosures and provide input into the Annual Report and Pillar 3 on remuneration items.
  • Lead regular salary and benefits benchmarking exercises to ensure robust market data for compensation decisions and key hires.
  • Support the Material Risk Taker (MRT) Identification process in line with the latest EU and Dutch regulation.
  • Stay abreast of EU regulation and ensure policies and practices are fully aligned, including annual reviews of Reward Policies and gap analysis.
  • Support or lead on reward projects, including new initiatives from the local business or Global PRB Team.
  • Design and complete analysis to provide scenarios and solutions to the Management Board.
  • Prepare clear presentations for senior stakeholders, including the Management Board and Supervisory Board.
  • Regular liaison with Finance regarding bonus accrual, deferral schedules, and other compensation matters.
  • Support the annual audit of remuneration and ensure any findings are addressed and closed during the year.
  • Provide day-to-day support to HR Business Partners on reward matters, ensuring all reward governance is appropriately followed.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of Reward within financial services
  • Experience working with and delivering for multiple stakeholders
  • Experience analysing data and presenting trends and themes to inform HR and business decisions
  • Experience working in a multi-national organisation
  • Operational knowledge of HR management systems, preferably Workday, is preferred

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, able to adapt style and tone to suit the audience
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing multiple deliverables, deadlines, and stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise a challenging workload and act with urgency, delivering to multiple, sometimes tight, deadlines
  • Initiative and proactivity
  • Team player who enjoys collaborating within the team

Education / Qualifications

  • Professional Human Resources/business certification or equivalent industry experience desired

  • Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market
  • 8% holiday allowance and 13th month payment

Additional information:

  • The role is based in the Netherlands. All candidates need to be willing to relocate to the Netherlands. Internal employees will be supported in case of relocation.
