Introduction to the job
The Lean team supports the EUV Factory (EF) organization to drive Operational Excellence as a means to realize the business goals of the factory. As a Lean Business Partner, you will be the trusted partner of the business managers, guiding and supporting them through the change transformation.
Since the beginning of 2017, the foundations were laid to create pull for Lean principles within the EF organization. The EF staff embraced Lean Leadership behavior and the groundwork of Hoshin Kanri, Daily Performance Management, and Structured Problem-Solving were laid. Eight years on, the Lean team has expanded their support by “stepping into the dance” of the operations in order to develop the Lean competency required to achieve success in our unique and challenging manufacturing and business environment.
The Lean Business Partner (LBP) reports to the Manager Lean within the Operational Excellence department of EF. The LBP is the business partner for the NXE Manufacturing department and responsible for driving the NXE Manufacturing improvement strategy on Operational Excellence. She / He drives the Lean activities and supports and guides teams and leaders with running improvement activities, implementing the performance management system, and coaches them in developing problem-solving techniques and Lean leadership behavior. As an LBP, you will respectfully challenge the status quo and act as a role model for Lean thinking.
Role and responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the LBP are to drive the business performance impact of the Lean program (A3’s, 4C’s, Breakthrough Initiatives) and develop the Lean and Operational Excellence capabilities of the EF NXE Manufacturing organization (training, coaching, challenging on Lean principles, being a catalyst in driving the change). The position also requires experience in both project and change management skills (event planning, execution, and follow-up). The holder of this position also contributes to ASML’s Operational Excellence System by improving the Lean and Operational Excellence standards used within the EF Lean team and ASML.
