Model the future of inkjet technology!

Are you passionate about modeling and simulation in a high-tech environment? Do you want to help optimize the next generation of UVgel printing technology?

Your assignment

You will model the current UVgel configuration in our ink plant using open-source modeling tools (e.g., OpenModelica). You’ll work closely with our Process Engineering team in Venlo, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic R&D environment. What makes this assignment unique? You’ll be at the forefront of inkjet innovation, working with cutting-edge technology and a supportive team. Your work will directly impact future product development.

  • Translating the physical UVgel setup into a working fluid model.
  • Validating model parameters with real-world production data.
  • Simulating and optimizing the model for accuracy and efficiency.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone who enjoys tackling technical challenges and has experience or interest in modelling and simulation. Important soft skills are analytical thinking and collaboration. Some practicalities:

  • You are currently studying Engineering, Applied Physics, or Mechatronics at HBO/WO level.
  • You have basic programming skills (e.g., Python, Modelica).
  • You are available for 4-6 months, for a minimum of 3 days per week, starting as soon as possible.
