Senior Logistics Coordinator

Do you want to be part of the logistics backbone of Mars Wrigley, delivering smiles all over the world? This is your chance to join the MARS Veghel factory Logistics team!

You will be in the middle of our supply chain and responsible for managing a crucial part of the supply chain to ensure the performance of our factories and markets. This involves managing our external partners, who help us produce and deliver 17,000 truckloads and 9,000 containers a year to 100 markets.

You will ensure flawless execution of day-to-day operations and drive the performance and KPIs of our suppliers such as Kuehne & Nagel, shipping lines, and Van Acht. Additionally, you will lead Continuous Improvement projects with our partners to achieve our strategy and goals. This includes analyzing large data sets, transforming them into conclusions, action plans, and presentable output. These projects may focus on costs, service, digitalization, and sustainability.

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

• Evaluate and drive the performance of our partners, providing relevant data to the logistics, network planning, commercial, and factory management teams.
• Lead our Continuous Improvement agenda to ensure we reach the goals defined in our strategy.
• Analyze big data sets to identify improvement opportunities, transforming data into conclusions, action planning, and presentable output.
• Demonstrate a digital-first mindset by understanding our systems and using tools like Power BI, ChatGPT, and Power Apps.
• Work proactively with other stakeholders throughout the End2End supply chain and keep them well informed about in-transit situations.
• Develop synergies in the organization of departures to minimize logistical costs, including transport, handling, and capital/demurrage costs.
• Ensure all procedures and documentation required for flawless and legally compliant import and export processes are available to all involved parties.
• Timely escalation and problem solving together with the entire Veghel logistics team.

What are we looking for?

• Higher education or university degree, preferably in logistics.
• Ability to learn and grow fast; can be a high potential starter.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Ability to execute data analysis and transform findings into actionable conclusions.
• Good level of Dutch and English.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, drive for results, set priorities, and manage stakeholders.
• Service-oriented with a strong customer focus.
• Desire and ability to further grow and develop.
