Job Description & Summary

As a Senior Technology Consultant in the financial sector at PwC, you will play a key role in advising clients on technology-driven transformation projects. You will work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and develop innovative solutions that leverage the latest technologies. Your expertise will help clients improve their operations, manage risks, and achieve their strategic objectives. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on solving complex client issues within the context of large IT transformations. You will advise the management of leading financial institutions on strategic and operational technology matters, and guide the implementation of your advice. Projects range from several months to two years and typically involve major banks, insurers, asset managers, and pension providers. This includes modernizing IT landscapes, digitizing business models, and assisting with transitions to new pension contracts.

Responsibilities

• Advise financial sector clients on technology strategy and digital transformation.
• Lead and deliver complex technology projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement innovative solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide cutting-edge advice.
• Support clients in managing risks and regulatory requirements related to technology.
• Analyze the technology landscape and business goals of clients: facilitate interviews and workshops, map current architectures, and identify bottlenecks and quick wins for cloud adoption and digital capabilities.
• Shape the future state and migration roadmap: co-create target architectures for core banking and insurance platforms, develop phased migration waves, budget estimates, and risk mitigation plans.
• Translate strategy into tangible results: build business cases, draft RFP requirements, evaluate vendor solutions, and design proof-of-concepts that quickly validate value.
• Work with leading vendors and fintechs: conduct joint design sessions, align with reference architectures, and ensure integration, security, and compliance standards are met.
• Facilitate client capability building: define target operating models, conduct knowledge transfer sessions, create playbooks and runbooks, and guide change management activities.
• Contribute to business development by researching emerging technology trends, refining service propositions, and supporting the development and delivery of training programs.
• Coach junior colleagues on the job and foster a collaborative learning culture.

Your Profile

• Fluent in English and Dutch.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in technology consultancy within a comparable consultancy firm.
• Experience with IT strategy, data architecture, and/or cloud transformations.
• Experience and affinity with the financial sector.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Econometrics, or another STEM discipline with a clear affinity for technology.
