Be part of progress: Join ASML’s Reverse Supply Chain Operations Team

Introduction

ASML’s Reverse Supply Chain Operations team plays a crucial role in ensuring that defective machine parts are returned swiftly and efficiently to our vendors. With a strong operational focus, the team manages the repair, reuse, and reintegration of returned materials—helping reduce waste and improve inventory efficiency across the company. Currently, ASML faces over €2 billion in inefficient inventory, making the reverse supply chain a key area for improvement. To support this mission, the team is working towards one standardized way of working. As part of this effort, we are looking for a proactive intern to help design and implement a structured onboarding experience for new team members, ensuring they quickly understand our systems, processes, and operational goals.

Your assignment

As an intern, you will co-create an onboarding plan for new hires in the Reverse Supply Chain Operations team. This includes documenting work instructions in various formats such as PowerPoint one-pagers, Word documents, and MP4 videos. Additionally, you will help standardize operational processes and ensure that the team navigates our systems and workflows uniformly.

Key deliverables include:

  • Collaborate with team members to understand and document key reverse supply chain processes.
  • Create clear and engaging work instructions in multiple formats.
  • Help standardize operational procedures to reduce inefficiencies and improve workflows.
  • Gain deep insights into reverse logistics, including repair, reuse, and return flows of materials.

Your profile

To be a perfect match you:

  • Are a Bachelor student in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Technical Business Administration.
  • Are familiar with tools like PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
  • Are curious about reverse logistics and eager to contribute to process improvement.

This is an internship (non-thesis) for bachelor students, with a duration of at least 5 months. It requires an investment of 32 to 40 hours per week, out of which 4 days on-site in Veldhoven. The start of this internship is set for February 2026.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular.
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include your willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
