Introduction to the job
The role is within our IT R&D BL Apps team. The BL Apps VDI team is responsible for providing a state-of-the-art development environment, used by the BL Apps MPC software development community. The team is part of the Developer Services Train and combines knowledge of our internal IT infrastructure, development tools, and modern development practices. The goal is to deliver a secure, innovative, and scalable Developer Workplace solution to enable the delivery of high-quality software with greater speed and frequency.

Role and responsibilities

You'll work with a stakeholder network and team on a product with small to medium impact on ASML business processes and interdependencies/integration with other teams in the train. You'll interact with key stakeholders on team level, Product Owners, and the train’s Leading Coalition (Release Train Engineer, Chief Product Owner, Architect). In the short term, you will have multiple iterations and one program increment, with a focus on the product ecosystem to enable the team to maximize value delivery.

As Product Owner Workplace/VDI you'll be responsible for:

  • Vision and Roadmap: Support in creating long term vision and plan, translate stakeholder and team needs into iteration goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Regularly communicate with stakeholders on their needs and concerns. Align with stakeholders on content and prioritization. Maintain a trusted partnership with the team and peers in the train. Start building a trusted partnership with key stakeholders in the train.
  • Healthy Backlog Management: Prepare the team's backlog for the upcoming Program Increments. Follow guardrails in ensuring the backlog is properly prioritized. Apply minimum viable product (MVP) thinking to optimize value delivered over time. Manage dependencies with other Product Owners.

Education and experience
To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you’ll need experience working on high tech products and with complex processes. As Product Owner Workplace/VDI, you’ll need:

  • Master degree or equivalent working and thinking level, with thorough experience in engineering or IT and solid experience as Product Owner.
  • Understands the business context, ownership, minimal viable product thinking, and long term planning.
  • Sufficient product/domain knowledge; likely through experience as SME, Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
