Senior Financial Controller

We’re looking for a senior financial controller to bring our finance department to the next level.

In this role you will work closely with the CFO, the management team, and a Financial Controller, engaging in a wide variety of financial and finance-related activities. You have the desire to grow, together with the company, to a higher level of performance. You will have a broad scope of responsibilities on both strategic, internal, and external finance-related topics. As a vital part of the finance team, you will facilitate further growth while enhancing financial management, transparency, compliance, and performance.

What will you be doing?

• Managing and coaching the (international) finance department
• Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy, digitalization, and appropriate structure of all financial accounting processes (GL, AP/AR management)
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly internal reporting (finance and non-financial KPIs) and consolidation of all entities
• Performing ad-hoc analysis for the management team and interacting with the team about business-related opportunities and risks
• Interacting and preparing the budgeting processes together with the CFO
• Preparing and managing finance-related topics during a due diligence process
• Responsible for the preparation of (consolidated) annual statements
• Interacting and maintaining relationships with external auditors, banks, international tax authorities, and other stakeholders
• Managing the digital contract registry (sales and suppliers)
• Executing international tax rulings (Dutch, US, UK) and special agreements
• Taking responsibility for VAT, corporation tax, and payroll tax for all entities and other related statutory filings
• Improving and maintaining the transfer pricing plan and other financial compliance-related matters
• Performing corporate housekeeping regarding Chamber of Commerce matters, bank relations, and contract management

Job Requirements

Who are you?

• 4+ years of experience in a business-oriented finance role in an international, fast-growing setting (experience in a tech environment is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Finance & Control
• Significant experience with preparation of (consolidated) annual statements (entities in NL and US)
• Significant experience with financial analysis, modeling, and business development
• Organizational agility, especially in an informal company culture
• Entrepreneurial, curious, energetic personality
• Decisive and goal-oriented team player
• Fluent in Dutch and English
