Senior Java Developer

What are you going to do?

As a Senior Java Developer at Realworks, your coding skills impact thousands of real estate agents in the Netherlands. Despite our large codebase, we are always working towards upgrading legacy systems and adopting the latest technologies to stay ahead. In addition to maintaining and developing new features, you'll mentor junior developers and facilitate knowledge transfer. Together, we'll be real team players at Realworks 😊.

In this role, you will:

• Work with Java 17, Tomcat, Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes;
• Design and implement services;
• Respond to production incidents;
• Create CICD pipelines to facilitate the delivery of best practices;
• Work in a young and international team.

Your team

You'll work in an agile environment within a self-managing team. At times, you'll communicate with other teams regarding project dependencies. Beyond the business side, we also value fun—think Mud Masters, team dinners, and unforgettable parties.

Job requirements

Our job profile is flexible, but it would be great if you have the following experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level;
• Expertise in Java (currently using version 17);
• Experience with SQL, Tomcat, and Spring Boot;
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Bonus: Experience with React, JavaScript, and JSP.

You are also:

• Results-oriented;
• Proficient in English;
• Curious and open to learning new technologies.
