Senior Java Developer

What are you going to do?

As a Senior Java Developer at Realworks, your coding skills will impact thousands of real estate agents across the Netherlands. Despite our large codebase, we are committed to upgrading legacy systems and adopting the latest technologies to maintain our leadership in the industry. In addition to maintaining and developing new features, you will mentor junior developers and facilitate knowledge transfer, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

In this role, you will:

• Work with Java 17, Tomcat, Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes;
• Design and implement services;
• Respond to production incidents;
• Create CICD pipelines to ensure best practices in delivery;
• Collaborate within a young and international team.

Your team:

You will join an agile, self-managing team, occasionally communicating with other teams regarding project dependencies. At Realworks, we value both professional and social engagement, with activities such as Mud Masters, team dinners, and unforgettable parties.

Job requirements

Our ideal profile is flexible, but it would be great if you have the following experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level;
• Expertise in Java (currently using version 17);
• Experience with SQL, Tomcat, and Spring Boot;
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes;
• Bonus: Experience with React, JavaScript, and JSP.

You are also:

• Results-oriented;
• Proficient in English;
• Curious and open to learning new technologies.
