ASML’s D&E sector is seeking a visionary Department Manager to lead its Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) department within the Quality & Business Performance (QBP) subcluster. This role offers a front-row seat to the strategic transformation of one of the world’s most advanced engineering organizations.

Role and Responsibilities

Job Mission
As Department Manager, you will lead the D&E Business & Analytics capability to maximize its impact on the ASML business. Together with key stakeholders and based on internal and external trends, you will develop a strong vision for the future of BI&A at ASML. You will direct and manage the activities of the department in line with sector and cluster strategy, technology/product roadmap, and policies. You will maintain key stakeholder relations inside and outside D&E, including the cross-sectoral analytics network, and create an environment in which employees feel engaged and can grow to their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the BI&A capability within D&E. Monitor all relevant internal and external developments, including data sciences, business analytics, and AI. In alignment with key stakeholders, define and manage the capability roadmap.
  • As a member of the QBP Cluster MT, contribute to the strategic plan for the cluster. Translate the QBP strategy into an annual operational plan for the BI&A department. Contribute to the success of the cluster and sector by taking ownership beyond the scope of your own department.
  • Lead, grow, and develop a team of approximately 35 BI&A professionals, including business analysts, data analysts, and artificial intelligence and machine learning specialists, utilizing relevant HR instruments, services, and procedures.
  • Define an optimum organization structure for the department.
  • Manage CAPEX and OPEX according to budget and monitor financial performance versus plans and budgets.
  • Supervise GLs on staffing, prioritization, and execution.

Strategic Focus Areas

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the development of optimal enterprise analytics solutions and algorithms that support strategic decision-making across D&E.
  • Accelerate optimization of key dashboards (e.g., PGP, BOM, IRM) and ensure enterprise data integration.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) to enhance predictive insights and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment of BI&A activities with D&E’s strategic business portfolio and sector priorities.
  • Represent BI&A in cross-sectoral initiatives and leadership forums.

Education and Experience

Education
• Master’s degree in Data Sciences, Engineering, and/or Business.

Experience
• 15+ years of experience in the high-tech industry, with at least 10 years in a leadership role and proven experience managing international teams.• Demonstrated leadership in enterprise data & analytics, data platforms, and AI/ML.• Strong background in project/program management and large-scale business transformations, especially in semiconductor manufacturing.• Comfortable dealing with high-pressure, ambiguous environments.• Fluent in English.
