About the Role

You will be part of the Inter IKEA Group tax team, a highly dedicated team of tax professionals. Our group tax team in Delft oversees the global tax position of the Inter IKEA Group with a strong focus on protecting the IKEA brand by ensuring our global tax obligations are properly addressed. In Delft, our team consists of five tax professionals, with a larger tax team located in different locations worldwide throughout the Inter IKEA Group. The tax team is an active partner to internal and external stakeholders, delivering its expertise in a simple, practical, and business-minded way.

In this role, you will act as Inter IKEA Group’s transfer pricing manager, advising the core businesses of the group on transfer pricing and other direct tax matters and supporting with tax strategies whilst maintaining the group’s tax control framework. You will work in an international environment with a multi-dimensional view considering commercial, people, financial, and operational perspectives.

Tasks and Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee and develop transfer pricing reports for over 50 companies
• Advise business partners on a range of transfer pricing and direct tax matters
• Review the transfer pricing setup and global transfer pricing policy
• Secure solid transfer pricing benchmarks prepared by external service providers
• Provide support on transfer pricing and direct tax audits and investigations
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of Inter IKEA Group’s global tax function and tax strategy
• Develop guidance as part of Inter IKEA Group’s tax control framework
• Provide support on tax reporting, tax provisions, and effective tax rate
• Identify risks and opportunities of changes in tax legislation and suggest actions

You build trustful relationships with all stakeholders relevant for tax and work collaboratively across organizational and geographical boundaries.

We believe that you have the following knowledge, capabilities, and motivation:

• Master’s degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics
• At least 5 years of experience in a comparable in-house function and/or with a tax consultancy company
• Solid knowledge of Transfer Pricing and international corporate income tax, with a willingness to broaden your perspective to other taxes
• Ability to translate complicated rules into practical solutions (pragmatic) and explain them to the business in an understandable way
• Interest in tax technology and/or data analytics (experience in this area would be a plus)
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written)

Additional Information

This is a full-time role based in Delft. The position sits in the Group Finance team and reports to the Group Tax Manager.
